This influential event, hosted by the Combat Antisemitism Movement (CAM) and chaired by Lester Friedman, Mayor of Beverly Hills, will unite leaders, policymakers, and advocates from across the United States and Canada in a collective effort to combat antisemitism and promote a society of tolerance and respect.
Antisemitism is an urgent and growing threat that endangers not only Jewish communities, but also the fundamental values of our diverse and democratic society, and mayors have a unique ability to proactively confront Jew-hatred at the local level, where it is most acutely felt. This is why CAM has prioritized building an international network of mayors to collaboratively confront the world’s oldest hatred with a cities-oriented approach. In a program led by CAM Chief Government Affairs Officer Lisa Katz, a former town supervisor herself, CAM works hand-in-hand with mayors on a daily basis to secure and nurture Jewish life in cities across the globe.
